Dr. Muhammad Sabieh Anwar presented an enlightening session on “Strategic communication inside and outside of Academia.” at the COMSTECH International Conference on “Science Communication and Community Engagement.”

He shared his wisdom and expertise on communicating effectively in academic and non-academic settings andΒ emphasized that strategic communication is a skill that can be developed through practice. Dr. Sabieh highlighted the power of strategic communication in driving positive change and inspiring and influencing others. He also discussed the role of Science Festivals in making science accessible to the community and encouraging young minds to explore nature. In Dr. Sabieh’s words, “Science festivals can act as social glue.”

Science and Technology play a major role in most aspects of our daily lives both at home and at work. It affects many, if not most, policy issues of national and international importance. Science, Technology and Innovations are intricately linked to societal needs and the nation’s economy in every area, especially in transportation, communication, agriculture, education, environment, health, defence and jobs. Everybody, therefore, needs some understanding of science, its accomplishments and its limitations. Understanding includes not just the facts of science but also the scientific methods and their limitations as well as an appreciations of the practical and social implications.
