The 4th episode of Muslim Women in Science and Technology was an exploration ventured into fascinating as well as beautiful marriage between environmental sciences and chemistry with Dr. Hind Al-Abadleh. We at KSS were deeply honoured to be conversation with Dr. Hind on Wednesday, 16th September 2020. Dr. Hind is an academic scientist of chemistry and an award winning professor at the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Wilfrid Laurier University, Canada. She is also currently the Chair of Environmental Division at Chemical Institute of Canada.

Khwarizmi Science Society (KSS) has collaborated with the School Education Department (SED), Punjab to ensure the participation of schools from all districts of Punjab in the upcoming Lahore Science Mela 2019. 36 teams of young scientists and science teachers are being supervised by the science mentors of KSS under this science mentorship program.

The progression towards a more scientifically immersed community continues as the KSS plans to organize the third Science Mela in October, 2019, in collaboration with the Ali Institute of Education. Since 2019 is the International Year of Periodic Table, our Mela this year will be focused on the wonders of chemistry including elements, minerals, compounds, mining and major industrial processes

Khwarizmi Science Society commemorates the International Museum Day by taking science to the streets. A small science museum in the form of a Science Cart or Rerhi will be strolled around to celebrate science and to involve the passers-by. Our intent is to introduce the idea of a Mobile Science Museum. Join us on the International Museum Day and witness the first event of the series: Power of Science on Wheels.
