Public Lecture
On January 26th, the Khwarizmi Science Society hosted its fourth lecture with Professor Emeritus James L. Wescoat Jr. from MIT. Titled “On the Bank of the Ravi: An Historical Geography of Lahore’s River, Problems and Prospects,” the lecture shed light on the degraded state of the River Ravi, indicating a crisis extending beyond mere environmental damage.

The progression towards a more scientifically immersed community continues as the KSS plans to organize the third Science Mela in October, 2019, in collaboration with the Ali Institute of Education. Since 2019 is the International Year of Periodic Table, our Mela this year will be focused on the wonders of chemistry including elements, minerals, compounds, mining and major industrial processes

Khwarizmi Science Society finds great pleasure in participating in the Science Exhibition organized on 16th of April at the Ali Institue of Education. The Ali Institute of Education has earned recognition as one of the best teacher’s training institute in Pakistan. The Institute has organized a Science fair exhibiting innovative models on basic concepts of science at the elementary and secondary levels.
