سائنسی قلم کاری اور سائسی صحافت : دو روزہ تربیتی ورکشاپ
خوارزمی سائنس سوسائٹی 15 اور 16 مئی کو `اردو یں سائنسی قلمکاری ورک شاپ` کا انعقاد کرنے جارہی ہے۔ اس ورکشاپ کا بنیادی مقصد بالخصوص سائنس کے طلباء، اساتذہ اور عوام کوسائنسی قلمکاری کے بارے میں آگاہ کرنااوراُن کی تربیت کرنا ہے۔ پاکستان کے معروف سائنسی صحافی اور لکھاری علیم احمد، منتخب طلبہ، طالبات کو اردو زبان میں نپی تلی، رواں اور خوبصورت سائنسی تحریریں لکھنے کے گر سکھائیں گے۔

| Instructor Profile | With more than 35 years of experience, Aleem Ahmed is among the senior-most science writers and science journalists in Pakistan. Having served as the editor of monthly Science Magazine and Science Digest, he launched monthly Global Science in 1998 and published it till 2016. Earlier, from 1993 to 1995, he joined Radio Pakistan for Science Club -- a weekly science program. Besides a number of local newspapers and periodicals, Aleem has also worked with Science and Development Network (scidev.net) and Nature (nature.com) as a freelance science writer. He is the only Pakistani science journalist to participate in the World Conference of Science Journalists (WCSJ) as a speaker. He has written, co-authored, translated and edited 50+ books on S&T, and has contributed more than 6,000 popular science articles, features, news, blogs and op-ed articles for various print and digital media platforms. For Khan Academy (www.khanacademy.org), he translated and dubbed 1,100 educational videos into Urdu (during 2011 and 2014) spanning over 6,500 minutes. In digital media, from June 2016 to April 2022, he served as the S&T editor and Blog editor for Express Digital (express.pk) -- a leading media outlet from Pakistan. |
