KSS’s Educational Tour to Chughtai Lab Head Office, Lahore

Khwarizmi Science Society (KSS) organised the third tour of the Niklo Ilm Kay Raastay Per series, visiting the Chughtai Lab Head Office, Jail Road, Lahore. This educational experience provided participants a fascinating glimpse into the world of medical science.

Participants explored various departments, including Virology, Hematology, Pathology, Microbiology, Molecular Genetics, and Toxicology. This immersive experience provided a comprehensive understanding of diagnostic procedures and research methodologies employed in these fields.

By exploring facilities dedicated to diagnostics and research, the participants engaged in insightful conversations with experts, witnessing firsthand how blood tests are conducted, viruses are identified, diseases are categorized in infectious cases, and blood samples are preserved. They observed how manual testing procedures have been replaced by advanced machines, leading to increased precision and speed in analysis. Participants learned about techniques like histology, where tissue samples are stained and examined under a microscope to identify abnormalities. They also saw how automated machines can quickly and accurately analyze large numbers of blood samples.

Throughout the tour, participants had the opportunity to interact with experienced scientists and researchers. They asked questions, discussed their observations, and gained valuable insights into the world of medical science.
