In Dr. Sabieh’s words, “Science festivals can act as social glue.” Dr. Sabieh pointed out social stigmas in our society, such as our de-glorification of work and preference for specific languages and how our educational system is just about theoretical knowledge and near to no practical demonstrations and how we as a society discourage change. He stressed the importance of hands-on demonstrations to expand educational horizons and make learning more fun; even subjects like Mathematics can be made fun to learn by using 3D setups and visual elements. Dr. Sabieh also highlighted unexplored disciplines in Pakistan, including technology and AI, archeology, and Pakistan’s flora and fauna.
