American Physical Society applauds the KSS

In his email message dated July 28, 2009, Dr. Amy Flatten, Director of International Affairs for the American Physical Society (APS) lauds the efforts of the KSS for the popularization of science and hopes to forge stronger links between the science communities of the two countries. Here are excerpts from her letter.

Your newsletter of the Khwarizmi Science Society and cover note to APS President Cherry Murray was forwarded to me.  I believe APS members would welcome the chance to learn more about the activities of KSS and I am eager to explore ways that we might strengthen communication between our two organizations.

Although the APS enjoys a Reciprocal Membership Agreement with the Pakistan Physical Society, many of our members remain unaware of the science activities in Pakistan and the KSS, and your article may provide a catalyst for broadened networks.

The APS has 47,000 members worldwide.
