Khwarizmi Science Society on Hum Sub – An Online Urdu Forum

Saadeqa Khan sheds light on the roles astronomical organizations of Pakistan and future perspectives. She mentions the tremendous contribution by the Khwarizmi Science Society in the form of Falakyati Melas or Astro-fests.

 

The year 2009 was the International Year of Astronomy. The KSS reached out to remote and distant locations of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The Falakyati Melas took place in Lahore, Okara, Phoolnagar, Swat, Shadhra and the Rohtas Fort, Jhelum. The KSS has so far organized ten Falakyati Melas in different regions of Pakistan.
