Member of KSS, Umair Asim on BBC Urdu
The Joint Secretary of KSS and founder and President of the Lahore Astronomical Society, Mr. Umair Asim has been doing wonders in the world of science outreach and science communication. He is one of the pioneers in bringing Astronomy to Pakistan. His expertise in the field, a very determined team of volunteers and a remarkable collection of telescopes has enabled him to establish a functioning observatory in Lahore. The Zeds Astronomical Observatory is affiliated with NASA and data is constantly being shared by Mr. Asim along with the updates from Pakistan. BBC Urdu recently published Dr. Asim’s interview about his inspirations, works and goals:
