Abstract:

Khwarizmi Science Society (KSS) made a significant impact at The Trust School Science Fair, where it set up interactive stalls designed to spark students’ curiosity and make science accessible to all. Each stall focused on different scientific concepts, providing students with immersive learning experiences.

At the microscopy show, students explored the microscopic world, observing detailed structures and small organisms that opened their eyes to the intricacies of life on a smaller scale.

The Van de Graaff generator electrified their understanding of static electricity, allowing students to feel a “hair-raising” experience firsthand.

Another highlight was the medieval catapult stall, where students learned the basics of physics and mechanics through hands-on experimentation with launching mechanisms.

The chemistry show became a centerpiece of the fair, drawing crowds with fascinating demonstrations of reactions like the “elephant toothpaste”, the magnesium ribbon experiment and the “carbon sugar snake.” These lively experiments showcased chemistry concepts in a way that both students and parents found captivating and educational.

KSS’s stalls not only brought science to life but also encouraged young learners to ask questions and seek deeper understanding. The fair was a powerful step toward promoting STEM education and nurturing the next generation of scientists and thinkers.
