Abstract:

On June 23, 2025, Khwarizmi Science Society conducted an engaging Teacher Training Workshop at Ali Institute of Education, aimed at equipping educators with innovative methods to make science teaching more interactive, practical, and inspiring.

The session was led by Dr. Muhammad Mustafa, Joint Secretary of Khwarizmi Science Society, who introduced participants to a range of visual, experimental, and verbal teaching approaches designed to strengthen conceptual understanding and spark curiosity among students.

Teachers actively participated in hands-on science activities that demonstrated how simple classroom experiments can transform learning into an exciting experience. Among the featured activities were the salt and sugar in carbonated drinks experiment, which encouraged observation-based learning through chemical reactions, and “The Shurli” flame color changing experiment, a visually captivating demonstration that introduced the science behind flame tests and chemical properties.

These practical activities highlighted the value of experiential learning, showing teachers how easily available classroom materials can be used to create memorable and meaningful science lessons. The workshop emphasized the importance of moving beyond textbook-based instruction by encouraging students to observe, question, experiment, and explore scientific concepts firsthand.

Through this initiative, Khwarizmi Science Society reaffirmed its commitment to enhancing science education in Pakistan by empowering educators with creative teaching strategies that inspire curiosity and foster a deeper appreciation for science in the classroom.
