Abstract:

Khwarizmi Science Society hosted an exclusive Mini Science Mela in Islamabad in collaboration with Trade Expeditors Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd., creating an evening full of interactive science, discovery, and excitement for participants of all ages.

The event featured a wide range of hands-on science demonstrations and live experiments, designed to spark curiosity and inspire scientific thinking in a fun and engaging environment. Visitors had the opportunity to experience:

  • Microscopy Show – exploring the hidden microscopic world
  • Van de Graaff Generator Demonstration – learning about static electricity through thrilling live experiments
  • Liquid Nitrogen Show – witnessing the fascinating effects of extreme cold
  • Optics Show – discovering the behavior of light through interactive displays
  • Electrolysis Demonstration – understanding the science behind chemical decomposition using electricity
  • Telescopy Experience – observing celestial objects and learning about astronomy
  • Hydrogen Gas Show – showcasing the exciting properties of hydrogen through safe demonstrations

A major attraction of the event was the deployment of CERN’s Large Hadron Collider (LHC) Tunnel exhibit, offering attendees a unique glimpse into one of the world’s most advanced scientific instruments and the groundbreaking research conducted at CERN.

The Islamabad Science Mela 2025 successfully transformed science into an immersive and memorable experience, blending education with entertainment. Through captivating demonstrations and interactive exhibits, the event encouraged curiosity, inspired young minds, and reinforced the joy of scientific exploration.
