This enriching experience offered participants an engaging introduction to the world of space science and exploration. The tour commenced with an in-depth presentation about SUPARCO. The session highlighted the organization’s structure, its regional chapters across Pakistan, and its achievements in developing and launching satellites and probes. Attendees learned about the diverse applications of these satellites, the services provided by SUPARCO, and its plans for future missions. The presentation also covered ongoing space outreach initiatives, upcoming projects, and opportunities for space enthusiasts to join SUPARCO’s efforts. Following the presentation, participants engaged in a lively Q&A session. Curious minds inquired about the technical aspects of space missions, moon rovers, and even the possibility of becoming astronauts in future missions. The highlight of the visit was a guided tour of the facility. To ensure cleanliness and prevent contamination, all participants donned disposable protective gear, making them feel like space researchers for a day. Inside the testing center, they observed an impressive array of satellite and probe models—some already launched into space and others awaiting deployment. Participants also explored cutting-edge machinery and testing setups designed to simulate harsh space conditions, such as vacuum chambers and extreme temperatures, to evaluate equipment performance. They witnessed assembly stations where space instruments are meticulously built and inspected. One of the most fascinating sights was a massive transport vehicle used to deliver satellites and other equipment to launch pads, showcasing the sheer scale and complexity of space science.
