Date: July 5, 2022 Time: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Venue: Lahore College for Women University Abstract: The third session of the Khwarizmi Science Society (KSS) in collaboration with LCWU under the British Council grant was held on 5th July 2022. This session marked our third and final Faculty Training session for the British Council funded Pak-UK Education Pathway project at LCWU.
This session focused on the importance of experiments and demonstrations in STEM teaching.
In this session led by Dr. Muhammad Sabieh Anwar, participants (current and aspiring faculty members) from physical sciences learned the epistemology of teaching science. Dr. Sabieh also highlighted how experiments were a critical part of a STEM classroom through demonstrations on the Leidenfrost effect, liquid nitrogen, brachistrocone curve, and other physics experiments. Participants were also introduced to modern tools and experiments that they can implement in their classrooms for experiental learning.
