Khwarizmi Science society ended yet another milestone, strengthening our society’s mission if spreading science and this time, it was our younger scientist that got the chance to not only learn but to practice entire regimes all by themselves.
Outreach Event
On March 17 and 18, 2023, KSS set its course towards Eminabad, a town near Gujranwala, where Government Islamia High School No. 2 opened its gates for us. The Mela incorporated two of KSS’s biggest demonstrations; The LHC Tunnel and Khalai Kachwa (planetarium) which were a huge success.
The beaming laser show, football with protons at LHC, peek into the nano world via a microscopy show and shrinking balloons while learning leidenfrost effect were highlights of the mela. Wonders of space science were not only explored through the planetarium, but the solar telescope made it possible for people to descry the sun.
Outreach Event
KSS delivered a teacher training program in Gilgit-Baltistan with the support of ALIGHT Pakistan and the
Directorate of Education Gilgit-Baltistan. The attendees belonged to the ten districts of Gilgit-Baltistan and
consisted of 20 female and 24 male teachers. The two-day workshop brought together STEM school &
college teachers from all the districts of Gilgit-Baltistan. The workshop was also attended by people from the
Education Department of Gilgit-Baltistan, members of ALIGHT Pakistan, and the students at the College of
Education where the workshop was held.

The progression towards a more scientifically immersed community continues as the KSS plans to organize the third Science Mela in October, 2019, in collaboration with the Ali Institute of Education. Since 2019 is the International Year of Periodic Table, our Mela this year will be focused on the wonders of chemistry including elements, minerals, compounds, mining and major industrial processes

Khwarizmi Science Society (KSS) and Ali Institute of Education (AIE) have initiated a joint Teacher Training Program, فکر انگیز سائنسی تعلیم Thought-provoking Science Education. In this program, we will focus on teaching of practical physics through thought-provoking, innovative and exciting experiments. The program comprises of three independent interactive workshops, the second of which will take place on 22nd to 24th November, 2018 at the Ali Institute of Education, Ferozepur Road, Lahore.
